When it comes to buying a car, one looks at a bunch of different variables and options. There are what seems to be an endless sea of new cars flooding the market every year, with every company churning out newer and nicer cars.  So when it comes down to Tesla, how is a company with no marketing doing so well that it can’t keep up with demand? Well the easy answer is that Tesla knows its customers and plays towards their egoistic needs by making a customer feel satisfied and successful with his/her decision to to buy a Tesla.

They are one of the few producers of a Luxury fully electric car, so if a customer is in the market he/she is most likely looking at a Tesla model. Secondly Tesla follows through on its promises and has a very strong brand equity, it promised a luxury car and it delivered, receiving Consumer Reports Car of the year award. Lastly not only is a Tesla car luxurious but it also plays towards the mindset of the consumer. Tesla does this by promoting there car as a way of the future, that a customer buying a Tesla could consider himself a forward thinker, and environmentally conscientious, while still being able to have the advantages and comfort of a luxury car. This plays towards Tesla customers consumer motivation. Tesla knows what its customer’s want, and it gives it to them. Tesla allows its customers to feel environmentally responsible and proud of their purchase. Tesla not only delivers a top of the line car, but it also makes their customers feel good about buying one.
